What is an allergy?
Allergy is a Greek word meaning "altered reaction." It was coined by an Austrian pediatrician, and was originally used to describe a skin test reaction. It was meant to explain a reaction that is opposite of homeostasis. Homeostasis means constant balance. Thus, allergy means being stuck out of balance. Scientifically speaking it is an antigen antibody reaction. It is simply explained as a sensitivity of an individual to a substance. It can be any substance.
How do I know I have an allergy?
Look for sudden symptoms that come and go ... then you get better ... only to have the symptoms mysteriously come back. Let's say you are feeling fine one minute — you eat — and suddenly you are tired, or your stomach doesn't feel right, or you get congested. That's just an example of what an allergic reaction to a food might look like. Each person reacts differently, depending on their genes and health history. You might recognize a certain "triggering" event or exposure to a substance (see below) which sends you into a reaction.
Also, allergy patients can be sick all the time. Perhaps you seek medical care and all your test are normal and the doctor prescribes a broad spectrum drugs to try and get rid of certain symptoms, but there's not a definitive diagnosis, and often the drugs don't work. Many people with histories like this come to me and it turns out to be allergies. The allergy elimination treatment I use, NAET, often proves very effective.
Allergies affect every system of the body so a diversity of symptoms can occur.
Some people are bothered by symptoms that are treated but never go away completely, and suffer from blocked energy in the electric system of the body, which is called an "electric allergy." Once again, NAET® corrects that imbalance and eliminates the allergy.
What is the theory of NAET®?
NAET® principles utilize the Chinese Medicine meridian system to eliminate allergies. The focal point of the cause of allergies is an energy or in other words electrical block in the body's nervous system flow. In addition to having an allergy that effects your chemistry NAET includes treating the effects on your nervous system. An analogy would be that you have an electric short circuit every time you get exposed to the substance that caused the short circuit your body identifies it as an allergen.
